What's New?           

Mission Opportunity in Port Arthur  

We will take another trip to the Beaumont Port Arthur area this spring to assist Lutheran Social Services of the South in rebuilding homes for the elderly and infirm.

Work will begin Friday, May 2, and will continue through Saturday morning, May 10, with the entire team returning, at the latest, just after lunch, Saturday, May 10. 

We are seeking a home that has leveling, roof, and siding completed and plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning roughed in.  Our aim is to finish out the inside of the home in 7 to 10 days.

Any time you can devote to this project will be welcomed.  Skill is not required, as we train on the job.  It would be nice to have from 7 to 10 volunteers each day.  It would also be a great blessing to the group if someone so inclined would take charge of meal preparation. 

Housing will be provided either in a church (free) or in the Shepherd's Inn ($20 for each person for the entire stay).
